The Department of Information and Communications Technology’s (DICT) Free Wi-Fi for All – Free Public Internet Access Program aims to provide the Filipino people access to opportunities, education, and information, and the ability to participate in the growing digital economy through free Internet in public places nationwide.

The Local Government Unit together with the Bureau of Fire Protection-Marcos conducted the Blessing of the new Fire Truck of the municipality. In attendance during the said blessing were Hon. Antonio V. Mariano, Barangay Captains of the thirteen Barangays, BFP-Marcos, Department Heads of the different Offices of the LGU and representatives from the Religious Sector. Rev. Pastor Jose Esteban led the opening prayer of the said program while Rev. Pastor Citadel A. Doctolero officiated the blessing of the new Fire Truck. During the speech of the Local Chief Executive, Hon. Antonio V. Mariano, he mentioned that, ” with the goal to strengthen our capability to response and cope with impacts of disaster, we requested this vehicle and it is my deepest gratitude because they granted our request.” Thus, we dont like that this vehicle will be used, however, part of the LGU’s agenda is “preparedness” which is one of the keys for efficient and effective public service.

Change is indeed here, and change will transform Marcos to a people-centered municipality. The Three-Storey Multi-Purpose Building is constructed with the vision of delivering high quality and readily accessible public service for Marcoseños and neighboring communities. Marcos town Mayor Hon. Antonio V. Mariano announced, it’s about to construct a new municipal hall of Marcos. As he said, “Let us walk together, dream together, work together and pray together and every planned we pray God will grant”. The municipal government has acquired for a loan from the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) in the amount of Php132 million with a 2.5 % interest per annum payable for 15 years. The Mayor hopes that the construction will start first week of February 2021 and expected to be completed in 2 years.

Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc joins the blessing and inauguration of the newly constructed Municipal Isolation Unit of the Municipality of Marcos, Ilocos Norte.

The Local Government Unit of Marcos conducted the Blessing and Inauguration of the constructed extension of the Marcos Public Market. The blessing and inauguration, led by Rev. Fr. Neil Lawrence J. Pascual marked another breakthrough in the LGU’s statement of excellent public service. The extension aims to provide comfortable and spacious place for the public market vendors. The said blessing and inauguration were attended by the Local Chief Executive, Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, Department Heads and representatives from the association of public market vendors. The Local Chief Executive, Hon. Antonio V. Mariano, left the public market vendors with a challenge to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the public market. He also added that, this is just a temporary public market, we will build a new public market that can accommodate bigger number of vendors in the near future.
